Semaglutide drives weight loss by engaging Gs/Gq pathways and cAMP in hindbrain GLP1R neurons.
Semaglutide drives weight loss through cAMP-dependent mechanisms in GLP1R-expressing hindbrain neurons.
Abstract
Semaglutide drives weight loss by activating Gs- and Gq-dependent signaling in hindbrain GLP1R neurons, with cAMP increases via Gs being critical. Disrupting these pathways abolishes semaglutide's weight loss.
