Results
The core finding was that both Selank and its in vivo formed metabolites consistently demonstrated significant anti-ulcer properties. Across all 3 experimental models of ulceration, the test peptides effectively reduced the severity and size of gastric lesions. This indicates a broad protective mechanism against different types of ulcerogenic stimuli. The study highlights Selank's ability to support the stomach's natural defenses. Selank and its metabolites consistently decreased the area of experimental gastric ulcers in all tested models, indicating a robust protective effect on the gastric mucosa.
