TRT plus SLT most effectively boosts testosterone and erectile function in obese hypogonadal men.
Background
Obesity-related functional hypogonadism (FH) is a prevalent condition impacting sexual function, metabolic health, body composition, and quality of life. While various treatments exist, including testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and lifestyle interventions, their comparative efficacy and safety for improving testosterone levels and associated symptoms remain unclear. This systematic review and network meta-analysis addresses this gap by comparing different strategies to inform clinical decision-making for adult men with obesity-related FH.
