Obesity is a global health crisis strongly associated with serious comorbidities like cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. Metabolic and bariatric surgery (MBS) is a highly effective treatment, but a significant challenge remains as some patients experience insufficient weight loss or weight regain. This comparative review aims to address this by examining the efficacy of single versus dual agonist pharmacotherapies for these post-MBS challenges.
