Study Design

Population
Adult participants (n=180) with obesity, both with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
Intervention
Single and multiple subcutaneous (SC) doses of ARO-INHBE.
Comparator
Placebo (SC injection) and active comparator, Tirzepatide (SC injection).
Outcome
Safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and pharmacodynamics (PD) of ARO-INHBE.

This is a Phase 1/2a, randomized, quadruple-blind, placebo- and active-controlled dose-escalation study. It will enroll an estimated 180 adult participants with obesity, both with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and pharmacodynamics (PD) of single and multiple subcutaneous (SC) doses of ARO-INHBE. Participants will receive either ARO-INHBE (SC injection), Placebo (SC injection), or an active comparator, Tirzepatide (SC injection). The trial is designed to characterize the compound's profile across different dose levels and patient populations.
