A Research Study to See How Well CagriSema Compared to Semaglutide, Cagrilintide and Placebo Lowers Blood Sugar and Body Weight in People With Type 2 Diabetes Treated With Metformin With or Without an SGLT2 Inhibitor
Background
Managing Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) effectively often requires therapies that not only control blood sugar but also address associated weight gain. Current treatments like metformin and SGLT2 inhibitors are foundational, yet many patients still struggle to achieve optimal glycemic control and significant weight loss. This Phase 3 study aims to evaluate if the novel combination therapy, CagriSema, offers superior benefits compared to its individual components or placebo in this patient population.
