International Clinical Program Designs Stratified Treatment Strategies for Pediatric Ependymoma
Background
Ependymoma is a rare and aggressive central nervous system tumor, particularly challenging in pediatric patients. Current treatment protocols often lack harmonization, leading to variable outcomes. The biological heterogeneity of ependymoma, especially supratentorial pediatric ependymomas (ST-EPNs), further complicates effective therapy, despite recent advances in molecular classification. This program addresses the critical need for standardized diagnostic and treatment strategies to improve patient prognosis and inform future research.
