Kisspeptin Sensitivity Varies During Puberty Onset in Boys
Link Between the Sensitivity of Kisspeptin Signalling and Pubertal Onset in Boys.
Background
Puberty is a complex biological process orchestrated by the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis, which controls the production of sex hormones essential for development. Kisspeptin, a crucial neuropeptide, acts as a primary activator of the HPG axis, initiating and maintaining pubertal development. This study specifically aimed to understand how the responsiveness of the HPG axis to Kisspeptin-10 administration changes as boys transition through different stages of puberty.
