Survodutide Dual Agonist Shows Promise for Obesity and Liver Disease

Background

Global health faces significant challenges from obesity and Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a severe form of fatty liver disease, both lacking comprehensive pharmacological solutions. Results

Furthermore, 52% of patients on Survodutide 6.0 mg experienced an improvement in liver fibrosis by at least one stage. The most impactful finding was that 83% of patients receiving Survodutide 6.0 mg achieved MASH resolution without any worsening of fibrosis, a stark contrast to only 18% in the placebo group (p<0.001).
