Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency Linked to Increased Cardiovascular Risk
Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency and Cardiovascular Risk
Background
Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency (AGHD) is a condition characterized by insufficient growth hormone production, often resulting from pituitary damage. Patients with AGHD are known to have altered body composition and metabolic profiles, which may predispose them to cardiovascular disease (CVD). This study aimed to comprehensively assess various cardiovascular risk markers in AGHD patients with nonsecreting pituitary adenomas compared to healthy controls, to better understand the extent of this risk.
