Real-World Study Explores Semaglutide's Impact on Type 2 Diabetes in North Macedonia
A Study in North Macedonia Investigating Retrospective Data of Glucagon-like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) Participants With Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) in Real World Environment (RWE) Setting (MIRAGE)
Background
Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) is a prevalent chronic metabolic disorder requiring consistent management to maintain glycaemic control and prevent complications. Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists, such as semaglutide, have demonstrated significant efficacy in clinical trials. However, there remains a crucial need to understand the real-world effectiveness of once-weekly semaglutide in GLP-1 naive patients within routine clinical practice, particularly in diverse geographical settings.
