Globally, obesity is a major public health challenge, significantly increasing the risk of numerous comorbidities, including cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and chronic kidney disease. While several anti-obesity medications are available, their long-term comparative effects on crucial organ systems and overall survival remain a critical area of research. This study addresses the knowledge gap regarding the two-year comparative effectiveness of Semaglutide versus Phentermine-Topiramate and Naltrexone-Bupropion on kidney and mortality outcomes in individuals with obesity but without diabetes.
