Background
Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD) is a common condition characterized by a persistent or recurrent deficiency or absence of sexual fantasies and desire for sexual activity, causing significant distress. Despite its prevalence, effective and approved pharmacological treatments for HSDD have been limited, leaving a substantial unmet medical need for many women. This review addresses the recent regulatory approval of a novel therapeutic agent to fill this critical treatment gap.
