CagriSema, Semaglutide, and Cagrilintide's Impact on Insulin in Type 2 Diabetes
Investigating How CagriSema, Semaglutide and Cagrilintide Regulate Insulin Effects in the Body of People With Type 2 Diabetes
Background
Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) is a chronic metabolic condition characterized by insulin resistance and impaired insulin secretion, leading to persistently high blood sugar levels. Current therapeutic strategies often aim to improve insulin sensitivity or enhance insulin production to manage this complex disease. This study investigates the novel investigational medicine CagriSema, a combination of cagrilintide and semaglutide, to understand its comprehensive effects on insulin sensitivity and pancreatic endocrine function compared to its individual components and placebo in adults with T2D.
