The extension sends only the search terms you submit to TitrateLab. Reading selected text requires your action. It does not collect browsing history, full-page contents, account cookies, or background activity. Selected page text is sent only if you submit it as part of a search. Search responses include public evidence and access limitations.
The evidence service uses temporary hashed network-address counters to limit requests. The website's existing hosting and security layers may keep request logs under the site's privacy policy. The extension contains no advertising or analytics SDK.
A verified TitrateLab account is required for lookup. Sign-in and consent happen on TitrateLab; the extension never receives your password. Access tokens last 15 minutes, and refresh tokens rotate with a maximum connection lifetime of 30 days. The extension keeps tokens in Chrome's session-only storage, restricted to trusted extension contexts; closing Chrome clears them. The web lookup keeps its access token in page memory. TitrateLab stores token hashes, connection identifiers and access timestamps to enforce account limits and revocation. You can revoke connections from Connected Evidence apps.
TitrateLab Evidence's use of information received through the Chrome extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
